Tape, Cassette and Reel Degaussers LTO, DLT, VHS, 3590

As the world leading degausser manufacturer and supplier Verity Systems offers an extensive range of degaussers and tape erasers to suit every requirement and every budget.

Hand-held degaussers allow you to quickly erase audio and video tape. Desktop, manually-operated degaussers makes it quick and easy to erase batches of all forms of magnetic media, including: PC hard drives, LTO-1, LTO-2, LTO-3, LTO-4, DLT, SDLT, Digital Video Pro and 3590. Manual degaussing machines are ideal for the business or organisation with low to moderate quantities of media requiring erasure.

For businesses and organisations that have a larger volume of magnetic media for erasing, an automated conveyor degausser will do the job. We have degaussers that will erase all forms of magnetic media including: PC hard drives, LTO-1, LTO-2, LTO-3, LTO-4, LTO-5, DLT, SDLT, Digital Video Pro and 3590.

V92 LTO degausser

V92 Compact, hi-energy tape and cassette degausser
The V92 Tapemaster LTO degausser is a powerful yet inexpensive high energy eraser. One of the most compact , high energy tape eraser / degausser available, the V92 is capable of erasing all high energy magnetic tape media, oxide or metal based including broadcast, video, data & diskettes.

LTO - Linear Tape Open

LTO or Linear Tape Open is a magnetic tape data storage technology originally developed in the late 1990s. Seagate, HP and IBM initiated the LTO Consortium, which directs development and manages licensing and certification of media and mechanism manufacturers. The standard form-factor of LTO technology goes by the name "Ultrium", the original version of which was released in 2000 and could hold 100 GB of data in a single cartridge. The most recent version was released in 2007 and can hold 800 GB in the same size cartridge. Since 2002, LTO has been the best selling "super tape" format and is widely used with computer systems for backup and data archive.

There are currently four versions available on the market, simply called LTO-1, LTO-2, LTO-3, LTO-4 and new for 2010 LTO-5.

When erasing LTO tape with an eraser or degausser then the tape cannot be reused because the magnetic servo signals which are pre-written will be removed.

SV91 CESG & NATO approved degausser

SV91 CESG & NATO Approved Hard Drive and Tape Degausser
A high energy, degausser especially designed to eliminate all data from computer, laptop and server hard drives. Will also erase data from high coercivity tape, including LTO, DLT, Super DLT, AIT, and more. Manual or infra red remote control operation. 3 year warranty

SV5000 CESG & NATO approved degausser

SV5000 CESG & NATO Approved Conveyor Tape and Reel Degausser
For the volume erasing of high-density metal tapes and cassettes the SV5000 performance will satisfy your requirements. Automatically controlled by an electronic eye the reels, disks or cassettes are placed on the wide conveyor belt where they are automatically passed through the 4000 Gauss field. Up to five hundred VHS cassettes can be erased per hour.

SV90 CESG & NATO approved degausser

SV90 CESG & NATO Approved Drawer Tape and Reel Degausser
The SV90 security degausser is able to perform automatic erasure of high-density magnetic media achieved by applying a highly focused magnetic field created by the Verity Systems exclusive multi-axis, 'pole tip' design. The tapes or cassettes are placed in the drawer compartment and rotated within the powerful 7000 Gauss field ensuring uniform and complete erasure.

SDD Master NSA approved LTO degausser

SDD Master NSA Approved LTO Degausser
A high energy, chamber-style pulse degausser designed to offer complete and secure erasure of magnetic media, to the highest security level, including perpendicular & longitude recording hard drives. Also capable of erasing data storage media including LTO, 8mm, DDS and more. Typical throughput is 40 hard drives per hour. Manual or remote control operation.
